Multiple predator based capture process on complex networks

چکیده
Abstract. The predator/prey (capture) problem is a prototype of many networkrelated applications. We study the capture process on complex networks by considering multiple predators from multiple sources. In our model, some lions start from multiple sources simultaneously to capture the lamb by biased random walks, which are controlled with a free parameter α. We derive the distribution of the lamb’s lifetime and the expected lifetime 〈T 〉. Through simulation, we find that the expected lifetime drops substantially with the increasing number of lions. We also study how the underlying topological structure affects the capture process, and obtain that locating on smalldegree nodes is better than large-degree nodes to prolong the lifetime of the lamb. Moreover, dense or homogeneous network structures are against the survival of the lamb.

Prediction of Red Mud Bound-Soda Losses in Bayer Process Using Neural Networks
In the Bayer process, the reaction of silica in bauxite with caustic soda causes the loss of great amount of NaOH. In this research, the bound-soda losses in Bayer process solid residue (red mud) are predicted using intelligent techniques. This method, based on the application of regression and artificial neural networks (AAN), has been used to predict red mud bound-soda losses in Iran Alumina C...

The objective of the current paper is to present an intelligent system for complex process monitoring, based on artificial intelligence technologies. This system aims to realize with success all the complex process monitoring tasks that are: detection, diagnosis, identification and reconfiguration. For this purpose, the development of a multi-agent system that combines multiple intelligences su...
متن کاملKnowledge and Networks – Key Sources of Power in Global Health; Comment on “Knowledge, Moral Claims and the Exercise of Power in Global Health”
Shiffman rightly raises questions about who exercises power in global health, suggesting power is a complex concept, and the way it is exercised is often opaque. Power that is not based on financial strength but on knowledge or experience, is difficult to estimate, and yet it may provide the legitimacy to make moral claims on what is, or ought to be, on global health agendas. Twenty years ago p...
متن کاملA Self-Reconstructing Algorithm for Single and Multiple-Sensor Fault Isolation Based on Auto-Associative Neural Networks
Recently different approaches have been developed in the field of sensor fault diagnostics based on Auto-Associative Neural Network (AANN). In this paper we present a novel algorithm called Self reconstructing Auto-Associative Neural Network (S-AANN) which is able to detect and isolate single faulty sensor via reconstruction. We have also extended the algorithm to be applicable in multiple faul...
متن کاملA Gravitational Search Algorithm-Based Single-Center of Mass Flocking Control for Tracking Single and Multiple Dynamic Targets for Parabolic Trajectories in Mobile Sensor Networks
Developing optimal flocking control procedure is an essential problem in mobile sensor networks (MSNs). Furthermore, finding the parameters such that the sensors can reach to the target in an appropriate time is an important issue. This paper offers an optimization approach based on metaheuristic methods for flocking control in MSNs to follow a target. We develop a non-differentiable optimizati...
